I am working the bag on the knifty knitter long loom. For the bottom I am working flat accross one side of the loom in seed stitch (k1p1 across and then p1k1 for the next row)
When I get the bottom as big as I want it I will pull it over to the other side of the loom and start knitting in the round. I plan to do some seed stitch for the bottom section of the bag to hold small items from falling out the bottom, then I will do mock crochet for a while for a lacy look. Then I want to try to knit handles into a top section of seed stitch. I am not sure how to do the handles – I guess I will have to bind off some stitches to make the holes and then do a few rows around them for the holes and then knit above it. That is the part I am fuzzy on. Anyone have any advice? I think I had better post this on Ravelry, eh?
