I am thinking about ways to feel better. Its been really rainy (even snowy, although we missed snowpocalypse.) I was reading the new studies showing that Crohn's can be made worse by vitamin D deficiency. So I put two and two together and decided to go to the tanning booth. Yeah, I know its no good on the skin cancer side of things, but it does make me feel better. So I went for it.
I am also moving my favorite piece of fitness equipment (Wii Fit) upstairs so it s easy to get to in my room. The kids will just have to take it downstairs when they want to play mini ninjas or Mario Kart or whatever.
Other things that make me feel better:
- Having a clean house. Love my new carpet and paint.
- Cooking a healthy dinner.
- Hugging my kids.
- Squeezing my Hubby.
- Reading a good book.
- Taking a nice nap.
- Knitting.
- Playing Scrabble Cubes.
- Watching the fish swim around the fish tank.
- Thinking upon my blessings instead focusing on my pains.
The pain is always going to be there, and some days are better than others. But sometimes you just have to muddle along the best you can and try to enjoy what you have. Nothing is ever going to be perfect anyway, so I've had to learn to let go of the expectation of perfection and just do the best I can do and be satisfied with that.
