15 Free Digital Prints at Walgreens - Today Only

I got this in my email this morning from Walgreens.  Upload your files to their photo center today and order 15 prints for free.  I pick them up at my local store in an hour.  I love it when they have these specials every once in a while.  And their print quality (at least at my local store) is really good.

The coupon code for 15 free prints at Walgreens April 15th is TAXDAY.

Free Business Cards

I need business cards (and am also looking for a printer to print bookmarks) for Sci Fi Jungle.   I had an idea to print bookmarks for my other Sci Fi website and T-Shirt shop and drop them off at local libraries and bookstores for them to give out to people.

I found a place that is giving samples of their on-line printing.  They also offer templates and drag and drop web editing to make the process easy.

If you have a printer-ready file you can upload it and get free business cards digitally printed by DCP Print as a sample.  You do have to pay shipping.

New Free Sampler at cgessentials.com

Kim Hill has a new Free Sampler up at cgessentials.com.   She put up a new shopping cart system at the store over the weekend and it looks FANTASTIC.  The free sampler coordinates with her Be Mine Valentine Kit but I think those frames are useful for so much more than just valentines layouts.  And the stitching looks really cool too.

Download the sampler from her site, and refer anyone else there as well.  Please no pirating; even free stuff has a terms of use to follow.  Thanks.

Freebie Grungy Edge Effect

Finally, a freebie on my blog.

This is an Edge Effect frame in png format.  (png files retain their transparent backgrounds) It is 4x6 inches as 300 dpi so it is good quality for printing.  You can use it as is to add a black  grungy border to any photo, or turn it into a brush in your image editing software and use it in eraser mode for a different effect.  You could even use the recolor feature to give it a different color.  There are lots of possibilities for this.

DOWNLOAD EDGE EFFECT PNG FILE HERE

Here is an example of what it looks like.  Here I turned it into a brush in Photoshop Elements (Edit, select all, edit, define brush, gave the brush a name)  The I clicked on the eraser tool in the toolbar and then picked my new brush from the list of brushes.

By the way my terms of use on this are that it is free and you are free to do with it whatever you like.  No restrictions.  Go nuts.
