Barnwood Overlays from Cindy Irvine

Pardon me while I do a little bit of Creative Team "enabling."  Cindy Irvine has a new set of products out at Plain Digital Wrapper called Barnwood Basics.

Folks - these are gorgeous overlays of real old barn wood texture that when put on a layer over paper make it look like the paper is torn and the wood texture is showing through.  These are a unique and wonderfully natural looking idea.  They are perfect for nature pictures, beach pictures, park pictures, back yard pictures, black and white pictures, etc.

On to the new shoes...  this weekend was all about me.  Jin gave me a spa day for my birthday last week and scheduled all my spa goodness for Saturday.  Then yesterday I managed to slip out for a while (the boys did not even miss me!) and got new shoes.  I am loving my new shoes.  (Mudd Shuffle)  They are so comfortable and I think they are young looking.  (I need all the help I can get now!) 

Plus, if I need to pin up a note I can stick a pushpin in them and use them for a bulletin board.

Mystery Flowers

Someone sent me a big flower arrangement at work on Monday and I don't know who.  It had a card that said "Think of your birthday as the start of another 365 day trip around the sun.  - Anonymous."

I am a little freaked out that I have a secret admirer.

The Police are coming to Atlanta Nov 17th

Oh My Gosh!!! I am so excited I can't even tell you.  The Police tour is coming to Atlanta on November 17th. 

I must have tickets!  They go on presale June 30th at 10:00 am.  I hope Best Buy will have the presales codes for this one like they have for the others.     This is like a birthday present from Sting.  (Yesterday was my birthday)

I have been waiting HOPING that they would tack additional dates on the end of the tour because why would they not come to beautiful sunny Atlanta?  Yes, I am giddy like a school girl, and I just don't care.  I lurve the Police.  They were my hight school band crush and I saw them in like 1983 two times at least.  I know I saw them in Rochester and Syracuse.  I can't quite remember if I saw them any other time.  I was such a fan I have a Police scrap book of articles, photos, ticket stubs, etc.

I have 2 Guest CT Spots this month (toot toot)

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be taking on the challenge of 2 Guest CT spots for the month of June.

Kim Hill of CGEssentials.com allowed me to stay on as Guest CT member through the summer. (Just like a guest who won't leave when you want them to) AND Cindy Irvine of elementalscraps.com asked me to be on her Guest team for June. I'm very excited to have these opportunities to get my name out there as a scrapper, and to help promote some really great products.  Cindy is also Guest Designer at Plain Digital Wrapper this month, so that is exciting for her.

I cannot wait to get my little mits on Cindy Irvine's Spring Basics solid paper pack, and Kim Hill's "I've Been Framed" element pack. As a matter of fact I do think I am going to make one layout using both these lovely items together - is it cheating to use the same layout for 2 creative teams?
