After having dug out our old Magic the Gathering cards, I have been holding ebay auctions. My second set of auctions is ending now, and I have sold another 3 sets of cards. No high priced auctions this week, but considering they are pretty easy to list and to ship, its an easy few dollars. I am using the money I make as "mad money" that I can use to spend on things I want, so I can save my salary to pay off the bills.
What am I buying with my $200 or so I have made from my various money making escapades in the last 2 months? I bought myself a beautiful handmade silver Mother's day necklace by Lisa Leonard Designs, for one. (For once I just decided to do something for me, and to heck with it!) I am also saving up for my Nikkor Zoom camera lens that I want for my birthday. I used some of it on a day we really needed some bucks transferred to our checking account - that came in really handy.
I don't think I will need computer memory for the Mac but I do need Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and who knows if that will be a memory hog. (I know it is on the PC)
I work hard at my 9-6 job and I make decent money at it. So why am I getting so revved up about making .99 cents selling MTG cards on ebay? Who knows. Maybe because I can only do so much at work and then that's it. But by doing a little extra on the side I can extend my earning potential, even if its just by a little bit. Shrug... as long as its fun, I'll do it. When its not fun anymore, I'll scrap it and go take the kids to the park.
For now, its all part of my plan to take over the world with my blog. Mwah ha ha ha ha.
