We had bad storms last night with tornado warning, large hail, and lightning. I was standing in the doorway looking at the grape sized hail pelting my car when BOOM the loudest sound I have ever heard. Our house alarm started going off and would not stop. We smelled electrical smoke and the storm was raging. What to do? I took the kids (who were crying hysterically) into the powder room - the only room in the house with no windows, and Jin walked around the house checking for any fire. We called the fire department when the storm cleared. I took the kids across the street to the neighbors house while the firemen checked the whole house over.
We also called the Electric Company who sent out their crew as well. Today we have an electrician checking the inside of the house and are calling the insurance company, cable company, etc.
My computer is not turning on at all, the small tv in the kitchen is blown out, and god knows what else. The insurance company is probably going to black mark us because our house was hit by lightning in March and we had to get a new fridge! I cannot handle this stress!
