It's days like today when I ask myself - how did I end up in the South? I am not a huge fan of hot weather! What was I thinking. The truth is I don't sweat very much and I don't have a lot of natural cooling ability. Add asthma to the mix and the gross air quality out there and I just want to hibernate.
Good news is that I have a job interview tomorrow. I was originally being considered for a very short term contract, but after the phone interview with the hiring manager they now want me to come in for a face to face interview about a possible contract to perm. Since the job market has been dry as the Sahara, I am very very excited about this.
Yesterday after I picked up the kids from summer camp/daycare I got them playing outside in the sprinkler. Then I went to the local knit night and met my friend Lisa for dinner. Nice girls night out.
One good think about the hot weather - for me hot summer days are the best appetite suppressant. I just want to subsist on cool fresh fruit and light food.
