We made soup out of the leftover turkey today. My mother in law cooked it up with some veggies and then I strained everything out and added back in chopped celery and carrot, and the good parts of the meat. Then I added a couple of handfuls of orzo pasta (rice shaped) and seasoned it with a chicken bouillon cube, salt and pepper. That made a really nice soup - very light.
We were all having a mellow day today. Brother in law and niece drove back to Ohio. Mom in law is going to stay with us for 3 weeks and then we will drive up to Ohio for Christmas and bring her back up there then. Yay! She is so sweet. She's been playing games with the kids, and being her sweet self cleaning up and cooking. Moms are great to have around, aren't they? I missed being up in NY for Thanksgiving this year. I called and they were all eating there and we were all eating here. It was pretty funny.
Right now the boys are watching a Justice League video I picked up at Goodwill. I dropped off 4 boxes and brought home 1 small bag so it was a net gain in clutter reduction.
Umm - has anyone seem my keys? Just askin'
