Our 15th anniversary was on the 20th. The friday before, my friend Melissa and her mom babysat the boys so we could go out to a nice dinner. We went to Violette, on Clairmont Rd in Atlanta. What a lovely place - you would never know you are in a busy area of town once you walk in. It has a kind of wine celler decor - with heavily plastered walls, painted a dark grey.
The have live music - the piano play was great. He played standards, not too loud but with subdued flair. Perfect for the home-style French food. I had a lemon drop made with Limoncello. Wow that got me in a mellow mood fast! Then I ordered French Onion soup, and Seafood in Puff Pastry. It was so yummy - salmon, lobster, shrimp, and mussels. That is the first time I have ever eaten mussels.
Jin had lamb chops with blackberry sauce. Super yummy. Chocolate mousse, and creme brulee topped it off!
