Where did the Weekend Go?

This was one of those "whoosh" weekends.  Now its Sunday evening and I have to finish laundry, get the kids washed up, and get ready for another week of the grind.  With hubster's new job having him work on the weekends, its hard to get all the stuff done, and get family time in.

The kids have been playing Kinect Sports 2 on the Xbox, which is cute to watch.  Since I didn't get to take them to the park this weekend, at least they are jumping around playing this game.  And they played war running around the cul de sac with their little buddies from down the street.

We don't have a cool playset in the backyard  -  but we at least have the neighborhood play area up by the pool and tennis courts.

Clarisonic Mia

I avoided getting the Clarisonic face cleaner for a long time because they are pricey for my budget.  But one say I had a 20% off coupon for Ulta and I bought one. 

It really works great - I see my acne (and yes I have wicked adult acne next to my wrinkles, thank you very much) get better and my skin is smoother and feels nicer.  Just the ticket.

I see they now have come out with a Clarisonic Mia 2 that has some of the features (2 speeds) of the more expensive models.  I think this would be an excellent Valentine's day for a mom or someone you love who likes beauty products.  Using the Clarisonic first really helps your creams work better after.

I'd love one of the big ones that you can use on the body - imagine it with a dead sea salt scrub!  I may just save up for that someday.

I made the kids some cute Valentine's Day picture cards this year.  Adam (with the hand sticking out) is going to have a lollypop through his hand so he looks like he is holding it out to the person.

I think these will be easy, and with a Walgreen's photo coupon they only cost $6.00 to print 50 for each kid.  They will have them for school and for their after school daycare buddies.

They are getting so big - if my in laws come to stay with us I will be looking for bunk beds so they can stay in one room.  Did you know they made adult bunk beds?  Fun!

 

 

Ebook Readers

You all know I am a Kindle girl when it comes to ebook readers.  For work and games tthe PlayBook is fantastic, and for pure reading its an e-ink tablet.  I bet that a Nook or Sony, or Kobo would all be great too.

I love the way I can get a book at any time, day or night.  It's such a luxury!  Like the food replicator on Star Trek, but for books.  Ahhh....  I revel in the wonder of being able to read just about anything at any time.  And it even has a built in light!
